The tool was developed by the Blockley Tool Company as a solution to a common problem, if you do any kind of repair or restoration work chances are you have come across a broken bolt and felt the pain and struggle of trying to remove this. We understand this struggle and wanted to make it as easy and efficient as possible. We utilise innovate friction welding technology to ensure a fast and precise adhesion of the tool into the broken bolt or stud making removal easy.

The specialised reamer makes the perfect hole for the innovative mandrel to slot into. While applying substantial pressure with the help of your drill on spin, it quickly generates precise and localised heat to weld the mandrel to the broken bolt or stud, removing it at the same time. This means that it does not cause damage to the surrounding metal the bolt or stud was stuck into.

Yes! The reamer can be used again and again.

The kit comes with 8 mandrels. After a successful extraction, the fused stud can be cut off, the remaining mandrel can be saved for a future removal of a larger sized bolt or stud.
